Isn’t it funny how the universe has this clever little way of giving you exactly what you want; when you want (or is it need?) This normally works best when you are being fully present, glowing with positivity and are radiating love (I know, easier said than done). Anyone who has ever read any guide to acquiring their heart’s desire will understand that standing under the stars, asking the cosmos to conjure up that trip to Bali, new Mercedes or Mr tall, dark and handsome is unfortunately not as simple as it sounds. Maybe it really is a secret. There is always much instruction on setting the goal/desired object or intention then matching it up with feelings of happiness and the right vibrations (easy right)? Not so, from experience, the pleading and rants under the stars are usually accompanied by ill health, loneliness and times of lack. So it can be a challenge to dig deep and find your inner joy. I am a huge believer that our thoughts, words and actions form the basis of our reality. As a realist I am also fully aware that in times of desperation and fear (which as human beings we all have to experience) positivity and those good vibes can seem completely out of our grasp. Acceptance can be a useful tool and good friend, often by resisting less and just letting be, those feelings and vibrations might just shift enough for the universe to work its magic after all.
Yoga Leggs has very much been the product of wishful thinking, intention and going with the flow, our attitude and experience so far has been quite magical and for that we are both incredibly grateful. Only last week after discussing how we needed a little spiritual uplift , within hours our lovely friend and yoga teacher www.amybramble.blogspot.com was offering us two tickets to the wonderful Yoga Garden Party 2015 at The Commonwork Centre in Kent courtesy of the fantastic new online yoga class website www.movementformodernlife.com. The Yoga Garden Party is a charitable event hosted by Simon Low in conjunction with www.thehopefoundation.org.uk which is a wonderful organisation raising much needed funds to help the slum children of Kolkata India. They provide education, training and healthcare (a very worthy cause). Of course we readily accepted and off we headed to the beautiful Kent countryside, we love our spiritual adventures and this certainly did not disappoint. The Commonwork Centre is an organic dairy farm, conference and study centre; the surroundings are truly magnificent. The weather was glorious, the food and beverages delicious, gifted musicians entertained us while we browsed the array of interesting wares on offer. We decided to really go for it and get henna tattoos by the artistic www.lovehenna.co.uk which we loved. This is the good part, with a choice of around sixteen classes to choose from we had both decided a few days previously that #teamyogaleggs might like to attend Nahid de Belegeones internal body Hatha flow class, so how surprised were we to find the very beautiful and talented Nahid looking absolutely stunning in a pair of turquoise delight yoga leggs (pretty amazing, considering they had only been for sale for five days)! The class was great and better still after quick introductions (we were all very excited by this coincidental meet up ) our delightful new yogi friend said she was very happy for us to pop up with our yoga leggs at her studio www.goodvibesfitness.co.uk in London(wow)! The greatest gift received from attending such events; is sharing breathing space with likeminded, kind and generous people.
Next on the lists of treats for the soul was yoga nidra with Ben from www.yoganidranetwork.org.uk what a blissful way to end such a superb day. Not sure either of us stayed completely in the room, that is the beauty of yoga nidra, I often wonder which magical place I have been lucky enough to briefly escape to, the yoga nidra network offer free downloads so this really is something we can all practise at home, I know Becki was a dedicated fan during her recent pregnancy.
Just before we decided (rather reluctantly) that it was time to head back to reality another friendly yogi stopped to admire our yoga leggs , funnily it was another studio owner close to home who we had planned to pay a visit , it certainly is a small world. www.hummingbirdpilates.co.uk we will be heading your way. The universe was loving our vibrations on Saturday. Without a doubt when your heart is in a happy place, when you spend time pursuing your dreams , when you feel gratitude and wonder and marvel at all of life’s gifts and synchronicities, that’s when the universe bestows its treasures.
Ah this gives me goosebumps….I love how everything is falling so beautifully into place for you two beautiful ladies. You couldn’t deserve it more. Big hugs xxxxx
