HOLIER THAN THOU
Nothing dulls a lightworker’s flame like a dose of Spiritual Elitism. I have learned this by perpetrating it at times (not proud) and by being on the devastating receiving end.
Spiritual Elitism is the idea that one’s spiritual experience and philosophy makes one more capable and enlightened than their peer’s.
A Spiritual Elitist believes they have studied, experienced and knows more in their chosen field than another lightworker. Often they have and do, but this is the key; they also think that this puts them in a position to know what is spiritually right and wrong for others.
Among some of the spiritual leaders/pioneers, there begins an attitude of resistance to certain people new to the path. Anyone who disagrees with, or acts in a way that is not in line with the ‘spiritual rules’ get focused on. These leaders/pioneers then begin to operate in spiritual elitism and a desire to control arises out of fear.
Some lightworkers break away from the ‘accepted mould’. Maybe they decide they won’t jump through the manmade hoop that is ‘Level 43 certificate in connection with the divine’. Or perhaps they don’t think they need 33 years of guru subservience before being trusted to host a workshop.
Often, this ‘rogue’ lightworker is accused of being rebellious, careless, inexperienced, low vibration, not capable, not qualified, not ready…the list goes on.
All this crushing judgement and damaging of the ‘wayward’ lightworker’s self-esteem is delivered under the Spiritual Elitist’s guise of concern for the lightworker and their clients.
Nobody can dispute the importance and value of spiritual training and mentors, but at what point does one say, ‘I’ve spent enough and have enough certificates to prove myself now?’ It’s certainly not for others to say when that is. It’s also not okay for peers to discourage and cripple another lightworker’s self-esteem by judging their experience, readiness, or quality of work.
I’ve learned that people are entitled to step onto this path with good intention and be of service. We are born to create, just as the Divine created us. What we create, when and how we are of service is between us and our creator. It’s really none of anyone else’s business.
Feelings of superiority always stem from an illusion. Spiritual Elitism is controlling, manipulative and fear-based.
We are beginning a new decade, it is 2020 and we are tasked with raising the spiritual vibration of the planet and we don’t have much time.
So, next time I feel the urge to judge another lightworker’s pace on the path, I’m going to remind myself that it is none of my business.
And before I allow anyone else’s righteous judgement or opinions to distract me from my path, I will ask myself, “did Archangel Michael himself fly down and write their spiritual rules?”
