I’m a little bored of searching for the real ME. You?
The New Year should always start with a New You… Yawn.
Finding understanding to the childhood I experienced, I searched for spirituality to save me. Travelling to far-flung places such as Thailand and India in an unconscious act of forgiveness for the bad girl I thought I was, I got caught up in the addictive and perpetuating circle of the seeker/student until fairly recently.
The amazing insight I’ve just received is that when you remain the seeker, you’re always anxiously waiting in the future because you’re always trying to get to somewhere instead of being anchored in the present moment, which is where all healing takes place. Not in the past, nor in the future. Being in either of these two non-existent places creates either depression or anxiety, a state I’m sure many of you reading this has been too.
Now I’m not saying don’t be curious – HELL NO! Curious is what my life is all about, but curiosity is way different to searching for a better you, life and purpose and generally comes from an experience that created a compensatory charge of emotional reactivity. Something happened to you, you bucked up against it and now you seek to compensate for whatever it was you didn’t get. Make sense?
Curiosity about my potential has opened up the way I see, feel and believe about myself. I’m curious to know more. And the more I enquire the less I find I know, the happier I become. Weird, right?! I’ve never felt so comfortable in my skin. Why? Because I’m listening to ME. I’m learning about ME. I’m understanding ME. And what I realise is it’s the support I receive from being with like-minded, courageous, wise human beings, that I trust more and expand outwards instead of inwards which only makes my world smaller. Being part of mentor groups and communities that encourage my self-growth and development is what’s putting a zing back into my life. We already know the answers to our questions, we’re just to emotionally charged to sit and listen to the truth.
And this is why I’ve put together my women’s 8-week online lifestyle course – This is ME – My Evolution, which is dedicated to giving you clarity and understanding of who you are and your specific unmet needs. Through distance based, guided learning with a group of like-minded women, you will learn what is holding you back, how to break through your personal barriers and how to evolve into the truest version of you. This investment to yourself unfolds over 8 weeks in regular webinar sessions that last 90 minutes.
During these sessions together we will work through emotional blockages, rebalancing practices and physical wellbeing using a range of holistic techniques. With a select group of like-minded individuals, this course gives you the space to share safely, in a creative, nurturing and non-judgemental environment.
I want to encourage and support you to create time for yourself, to give you space so you can breathe and say the things you really want to without judgement. I want you to wake up excited by life and to live.
I’m not asking you to be a newer shinier version of yourself – nope. I want you to love you and enjoy being you.
No more searching.
