Good Human. It’s competition time.
We live in a world that appears to be crazier than ever right now, where we are constantly bombarded with bad news and terrifying atrocities. A scary kind of madness seems to have the whole planet in its grip.
But isn’t that just one part of the story? Don’t people just love to share the awful stuff, it kind of rolls off our tongues involuntarily. We fill newspapers and social media, and our own awkward silences with gossip and moans. We aren’t always our best selves. We don’t always play fair. Could we be more tolerant, more helpful, and more selfless? Probably yes.
We worry and fret about pretty much every worst-case scenario imaginable. But what about the good stuff? Why aren’t we focusing more on what lifts the corners of our mouths and makes our hearts pound (in a good way)? It’s like we thrive on doom and gloom and melodrama.
Not at Yoga Leggs because we like uplifting news, positivity, random acts of kindness and compassion. We like generosity. We like nice people that offer a helping hand. We like folks that show they care.
And what should be most important above all else in this crazy world is how we treat our fellow earth dwellers. We should always help people that need help.
We had a little brainwave, explained in our recent blog post Are you a good human? Do you know any? We decided that we want to hear more happy stories, we want to be inspired, and we want some good news for a change.
We believe that there are a whole lot of good humans out there doing tremendous things. All acts of loving-kindness, large or small are so important to humanity at this present time. Being kind and showing compassion is definitely a skill some people might need a little practice with. Team Yoga Leggs would like to celebrate the beautiful ones already qualified and putting those talents to good use.
Basically we would like to say thank you; thanks for making the world a better place. Thanks for spreading love and giving hope and for caring and being decent. Thank you.
Most good humans are pretty modest and humble so as their friends and colleagues, sisters or teammates we need you to nominate the good guys and tell us about any good deeds that may have restored your faith in human nature and made you proud to know them. Once a month we will be rewarding one lovely kind-hearted soul with a Yoga Leggs gift.
To nominate your good human for January please email goodhuman@yogaleggs.com by the end of January. The first winner will be selected at random and announced 2nd February. And thereafter each month.
With goodness,
